What this app does: Helps you solve the daily Guess Word puzzle in Words With Friends by finding every possible answer based on the target score and bonus tile positions.
1Enter Your Target Score
Look at the top of your Guess Word puzzle. You'll see "Score X pts to earn." Type that number into the score box. The app automatically shows the base word value (score ÷ 3) beneath it.
2Mark Bonus Positions
Row 1 of the board shows bonus tiles at specific positions (1–5). Tap each matching position button to mark it — tap again to clear it.
The solver then guarantees that your word's top-N highest-value letters all land in those N marked spots. This is your most powerful filter and should always be your first step.
3Hit Solve
The app scans the full dictionary and returns every valid WWF word that hits your target score with the right letters in the right bonus spots.
Results are grouped by letter value pattern and sorted by most common letters first.
4Enter Your Guesses to Filter
Use the color-coded keyboard to type each word you've tried. Then tap each letter tile to mark the game's feedback:
■Green — correct letter, correct position
■Yellow — correct letter, wrong position
■Plain — letter not in the answer
Hit Solve again — the solver reads all 4 guess rows together and eliminates everything that contradicts your tile colours.
5Narrow It Down
Between bonus positions and tile colours you'll usually be at 1–3 candidates by guess 3.
If an answer looks like a plural ending in -S, toggle INCLUDE -S WORDS on at the bottom of the guesses card — those words are hidden by default since puzzle answers are almost never regular plurals.
Scoring Explained
The game always scores the same way:
Target Score ÷ 3 = the base word value you need.

Tips from Experienced Players
⚡Always set bonus positions first — it's the single biggest filter
📈High scores (66+) almost always have a 4pt or 5pt letter on the triple bonus
💎Very high scores (90+) likely contain X, Q, J, or Z
🧠Use the smart starter suggestions — they're calculated from your specific candidate list, not a generic dictionary
🔑Confirm positions as soon as you know them — one locked letter cuts the list in half
